Penn State Timberframing
In the Spring of 2007, the Penn State Center for Medieval Studies and
the
Center for Free Inquiry and Civic Education (now the ?) hosted
the Spring
May Faire. As part of that Faire, Prof. Steven A. Walton, James
Kalsbeek,
and Jodi LaCoe and a team of about two dozen didicated
architecture and engineering
students designed and built a small timberframed shed using
historic principles
and tools. The shed was subsequently auctioned to a local State
Colelge Resident
as a garden out-building.
